The purpose of this role is to direct, oversee, and implement spiritual formation and community building for the students (6th - 12th grade) of Statesboro First United Methodist Church. The Youth Director will look for and create opportunities to instruct them through Biblical teaching, spiritual retreats, worship, adventure and fun. The Youth Director should also seek ways to minister to the families of students and involve the students in the life of the greater church. The Youth Director serves as a conduit for the church to the students and the students to the church. Typical weekly schedule is Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings. Also requires occasional out of town retreats and trips.
